Lower left-hand honeycomb: Net configuration and computer time
This honeycomb shows how much computer time has been used for the computation
of the running task (honey-coloured bar) and how much computer time remains
until the next exchange of results/tasks (digital counter). The honey-coloured
message tells you what MoneyBee®
is currently doing - most of the time, MoneyBee®
will tell you it is "training neural net", other messages describe processes
that need less time: "Connecting to i42", "Loading neural net", "Net loaded",
"All tasks completed" and "Send results".
Furthermore, in the upper half of the honyecomb the configuration of the
neural network is described in the text. On the one hand, it shows the number
of neurons (including all input and output neurons) and the number of
connections between them. Both numbers together describe the approximate
number of data (numerical values) required to describe the neural net - in these
values and in the constellation of their connections, the learnt content is
saved, similar to the human brain. As is the case with natural nervous systems
the saved information is not stored in the individual brain cells.
The number of levels describes the structure of the net. For each level, one
output and input neuron is allocated. Therefore, the number of levels minus
two is the number of hidden levels in which the actual computing takes place
- the actual "grey cells" of this artificial intelligence (see
Artificial Neural Networks - ANN).
Additionally, the number of cycles is displayed in this honeycomb. These
cycles show how often the net has "looked at" the entire stock trend (input
data) at its disposal in order to recognize patterns (see How ANN works).
